The Wolf of Wall Street (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD)

Fantastic movie
I thought this was an amazing film - full of energy and great performances. Specifically Leonardo DiCaprio. He is always a really amazing actor, but here he displays something I don't often see from him - humor. He is hysterical. The whole movie is really funny and moved at a great pace - I didn't feel the 3-hour length at all. Also, Jonah Hill - I think this is his best performance. He's fantastic too. If you like Scorcese, you won't be disappointed. This has the same kind of drama and humor you'd expect from him, but he's really at the top of his game with this film. I will be buying this as soon as it's available.

Will be mentioned among Scorsese's best.
Terrence Winter adapted Belfort's novel with a clear vision in mind-- making the film a companion piece to Goodfellas. In a way it is, but in a way it is something completely different.

This is Scorsese's funniest film, and the funniest film of 2013. It has the wackiness of Scorsese's (massively underrated) After Hours, on a much larger scale, and the remorseless characters from other Scorsese films such as Goodfellas and The Departed. As a huge fan of Scorsese, I'd put this somewhere near the bottom of his top ten films (which is big for me).

I also have to mention, this is Leonardo DiCaprio's best performance ever. He goes off the rails and gives a performance unlike anything that I've seen from him in the last 20 years. He also shows that he's a naturally gifted comedic actor, providing some of the funniest moments I've ever seen on a screen. The rest of the cast is fantastic as well, most notably Matthew McConaughey in an incredible 10 minutes. Jonah Hill...

Great Film, Future Classic
This film features many elements to its story that are outlandish yet very entertaining. Not only does the film have tremendous performances, but it shocks you, while your absorbed in this world of greed and sin. Many reviews have blasted the film for all the drugs and sex thats included, but that was the whole point of the film to show the audience these peoples' story through their eyes. The film does not glorify it's content, but rather presents it without judgement. And it serves as a reflection to a part of society that has a thirst for wealth, and which will do anything to achieve their goal, even if it results in exploiting people in the process. This film has been misunderstood by some, but regardless, it will be crowned as a classic in the future. The "Scarface" of its time.
